Michigan Purpose:
The Michigan Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (MI PRAMS) gathers high quality, population-based data about maternal and paternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and after pregnancy. This position will assist the
MI PRAMS
epidemiologist in carrying out the data analysis-related tasks for both the mom and dad components of
MI PRAMS.
This position will also assist the other
MI PRAMS
Operations Coordinator with the coordination of the data collection activities associated with these two surveys. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) hybrid position that will require remote weekday and some weekend and evening work (for phone interview supervision) and in-office work usually on Tuesdays (for survey mailings coordination).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyst Assist in the coordination of all the data-related components associated with the
MI PRAMS
mom and dad surveys. Assist with the analysis of the annual PRAMS and Father and Infant Project (FIP) weighted data files. Assist with the analysis of PRAMS and FIP data to fulfill internal and external data requests. Assist in the development of MI PRAMS-related publications and deliverables. Assist with the annual updates to the PRAMS and FIP data dashboards. Assist with the calculating and monitoring of MI PRAMS and FIP response rates. Assist with the analysis of MIP PRAMS and FIP operational data. Assist with cleaning of raw data. Monitor and maintain security and confidentiality of PRAMS data. Operations Coordinator Assist with the coordination of MI PRAMS and FIP data collection activities. Assist in assigning MI PRAMS and FIP cases to assistants. Review cases as they move through the MI PRAMS and FIP protocols and manage all cases accordingly. Maintain weekly interviewer productivity spreadsheet. Schedule and conduct weekly monitoring sessions with
MI PRAMS/FIP
interviewers. Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to telephone interviewers. Assign alternate work to interviewers and conduct other operational tasks as needed. Coordinate mail operations staff and provide troubleshooting during in-office assembly of survey mailings. Assist with prep of non-identifiable survey materials on in-office mail days. Assist in preparing and stuffing mailings on in-office mail days. Assist with processing undelivered mail for the MI PRAMS and FIP projects. Assist with the monthly MI PRAMS and FIP supply inventory and ordering processes. Adhere to the MI PRAMS and FIP protocols. Always represent the best interests of MPHI and MDHHS. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in public health or a related health or social science field is required.
Experience:
At least two years of experience with public health surveillance activities is preferred. At least two years of experience with analyzing and reporting on data is preferred.
Important Skills and Characteristics:
Experience with data entry is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office and mail merge functions is useful. Knowledge of survey techniques would be very helpful. Knowledge of research methods and inferential statistics is required. Familiarity with SAS and SUDAAN is preferred. Familiarity with Tableau Prep Builder and/or Adobe products (Acrobat Pro/InDesign) Ability to plan work activities for and delegate work to a small group of employees to complete time sensitive tasks is preferred. Telephone interviewing, hotline, or telephone customer service skills are preferred. Ability to stay on task while maintaining thoughtful attentiveness to detail is critical. Possessing a desire to work collaboratively and communicate openly with a small team to improve operations. Complete tasks in a timely manner. The ability to type at least 40 words per minute is preferred.

The PRAMS Analyst and Operations Coordinator has a strong impact on the efficiency and integrity of the research conducted on the projects to which he/she is assigned. This position is critical to the timely and efficient completion of the projects' operations, as well as the timely and efficient operation of the project team.
