Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking an Excel
- Reporting Operations Support Specialist to provide Excel-focused operational support for monthly client reporting.
Work Schedule:
Monday- Friday
- 8:00am
- 5:00pm.
Hourly pay range:
$25- 27.
Positon Summary:
This position reports to the Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting and provides Excel-focused operational support for monthly client reporting. The role is scoped to repeatable, process-driven tasks including report preparation, file cleanup, dashboard refresh support, and validation activities. The incumbent in this role helps protect delivery timelines and SLAs by enabling senior analysts to focus on audit accuracy, issue resolution, and analytical review.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, analytics, or a related field preferred 2+ years of experience working extensively in Microsoft Excel in an operational, reporting, or data support role Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including use of existing PivotTables, slicers, filters, formatting, and macros, as demonstrated by passing an Excel skills test High attention to detail and ability to follow documented, repeatable processes Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment Internet access provided by a cable or fiber provider with 40 MB download and 10 MB upload speeds. Home router with wired Ethernet (wireless connections and hotspots are not permitted A designated room for your office or steps taken to protect company information (e.g., facing computer towards wall, etc.)Duties and Responsibilities:
Excel File Preparation & Automation Support- Run existing Excel macros (button-based execution only)
- Prepare reporting files using established templates and instructions
- Apply logos, update file names, and manage version control
- Convert file types as required for reporting and delivery Excel Report Preparation and Cleanup
- Prepare, scrub, and reformat Excel data files to align with established reporting standards and validation requirements prior to analyst review
- Insert standardized audit tabs into reports using provided templates
- Perform side-by-side report comparisons to ensure consistency
- Prepare and validate Excel datasets prior to dashboard refresh
- Ensure alignment between source files and reporting outputs Dashboard Refresh and Validation Support
- Use pre-built PivotTables and slicers to filter data by client or group
- Refresh existing dashboards and validate displayed results
- Confirm dashboards reflect expected data after refresh
- Follow established validation checklists and procedures Quality Review and Presentation Support
- Compare current and prior month reports to identify missing sections, formatting issues, or obvious variances
- Escalate discrepancies to senior analysts for review
- Populate pre-built PowerPoint templates by copying and pasting approved tables or visuals
- Follow documented instructions without modifying slide design or analytical content All other duties as assigned.
