Job DescriptionWhat You Will Do:
The Lead Traveling Community Operations Support Specialist provides advanced field operations support across AIR communities and plays a key role in executing complex operational projects, community transitions, and systems implementations. This role partners closely with Operations leadership and community teams to ensure operational consistency, process adoption, and successful community setup.

In addition to supporting field operations, the Senior Specialist will serve as a lead resource for Traveling Community Operations Support Specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and coordination of field initiatives to ensure operational projects are executed effectively and consistently across the portfolio.

This is a high-travel role, with up to 75% of the year (approximately three weeks per month) spent supporting communities on-site. A bit more about what you'll do…Lead operational support efforts for new community onboarding, transitions, and operational stabilization.

Support the setup and implementation of operational systems, processes, and tools across communities.

Provide hands-on operational support both on-site and remotely to ensure consistency in company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Serve as a senior operational resource and subject matter expert for community teams and central operations.

Provide leadership and mentorship to Traveling Community Operations Support Specialists, helping guide project execution, sharing best practices, and supporting professional development.

Assist with coordinating field support assignments and ensuring operational priorities are aligned across the specialist team.

Support training efforts related to systems, operational procedures, and company standards for community teams.

Provide temporary operational coverage for key community positions during vacancies, transitions, or high-demand operational periods.

Identify opportunities for operational process improvements and efficiencies across supported communities.

Collaborate with Operations leadership and cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives and special projects.

Provide regular communication and reporting to leadership and central operations on project progress, community support needs, and operational performance.

QualificationsWhat You Bring3-5 years of experience in property management operations, field operations support, community management, or a related operational role.

Ability to travel at least 75% of the time with easy access to a major airport.

Strong experience supporting community transitions, operational setup, and systems implementation.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and support cross-functional initiatives.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple operational priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.

Technologically proficient with property management systems and operational tools.

Experience supporting training initiatives and operational process adoption.

Understanding of operational reporting, systems setup, and process improvement initiatives.

Leadership or project management experience preferred, particularly in supporting multi-community operational initiatives.
