ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a busy, high-volume vascular surgery private practice in Downey, CA seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Assistant / Surgery Scheduler to join our dedicated clinical team. This is a dual-function role designed for a professional who can seamlessly move between direct patient care and the complex administrative coordination required in specialty surgery. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical floor experience, proven surgical scheduling expertise, exceptional customer service skills, and a genuine commitment to our patient community — the majority of whom are Spanish-speaking. Vascular and/or dialysis experience is a plus but is not required. What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, communicate clearly, and keep a high-volume practice running smoothly. Why one combined role? In a specialty surgical practice of this size, the patient experience benefits from a single point of contact who manages both clinical encounters and care coordination. This structure reduces hand-offs, improves scheduling accuracy, and keeps continuity of care at the center of everything we do.
