About Grand Junction Regional Center:
Grand Junction Regional Center (GJRC) exists to provide person-centered quality healthcare, activities of daily living, and an active learning atmosphere in a safe and healthy environment for intellectually and developmentally disabled (IDD) individuals and individuals who may have behavioral health needs in addition to IDD. This work unit provides 24-hour treatment services that comply with State and Federal regulations. The Scheduler is responsible for ensuring 24/7 staffing coverage across 11 group homes, maintaining safe staffing ratios, coordinating direct care support, and responding to emergencies to support high-quality care for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Additionally, as a Scheduler you can expect to: Independently schedule and coordinate staff assignments to meet state-regulated staffing ratios and resident needs. Review, approve, or deny leave requests based on current staffing levels and operational impact. Respond quickly to staff call-offs, absences, and emergencies by finding or providing coverage. Maintain, adjust, and communicate staffing schedules daily using proprietary scheduling software (e.g., When2Work), spreadsheets, and internal systems. Provide on-the-ground direct care coverage when no other staffing solution is available. Serve as the command center during agency-wide crises, coordinating emergency response and ensuring proper notifications. Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, external emergency services, and internal departments to ensure coordinated crisis management. Compile and distribute accurate attendance records, duty status reports, and shift documentation. Operate a variety of office technologies and manage high-volume communications (phone, email, internal messaging). Participate in training, team meetings, and performance support activities for direct care staff. Coach and direct up to 15 Health Care Technicians, offering real-time guidance and documentation support. Safely operate agency vehicles and support transport logistics for staffing or resident needs. Uphold agency procedures, maintain data accuracy, and assist with various administrative projects as assigned. This position is 100%In-Person:
You are required to work at your assigned work location during your scheduled work times. This position follows a rotating two-week schedule: Week 1 consists of 3 days on / 4 days off; Week 2 consists of 4 days on / 3 days off. Shifts are 12 hours in duration and may be 6:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. (day shift) or 6:00 p.m.
