Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer / Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. This pivotal role involves developing precise CNC programs, managing production schedules, and ensuring efficient machining operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on optimizing productivity and maintaining high-quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects within a dynamic environment committed to precision engineering. Duties Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machines including CNC lathes and milling machines using CAM software such as Mastercam or CATIA. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to ensure accurate machining. Schedule production workflows effectively, balancing machine capacity with delivery deadlines to maximize throughput. Set up and operate CNC equipment, ensuring proper tooling, calibration, and safety procedures. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions. Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs created in CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD for manufacturability. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall process efficiency. Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, tool setups, and inspection results for quality assurance. Troubleshoot machining issues promptly by analyzing schematics and electrical discharge machining (EDM) parameters when necessary. Monitor production schedules regularly, adjusting plans proactively to accommodate machine maintenance or unforeseen delays. Experience Proven experience as a CNC programmer. Strong knowledge of CNC machinery including CNC Lasers, Saws and Lathe. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling selection, geometry calculations, and precision measurement instruments. Experience working within lean manufacturing environments focused on continuous improvement. Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams pertinent to machine setup and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in high-precision manufacturing settings.
