  • $44,845 per year, USCA Registrar The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for management and implementation of several key areas of student services housed in the Office of the Registrar.
These include:
academic class scheduling, degree audit programming, reporting Title IV withdrawals, recording student attendance of Academic Enrichment (ACE) events, and performing assigned commencement ceremony duties.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment and excellent written and oral communications skills required.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred:
Experience in student services areas or related University offices preferred. Prior experience event scheduling or Registrar functions a plus.

Job Duties Job Duty Works with campus constituents to produce academic schedules. Constantly updates classroom assignments, limits, and faculty. Serves on ACE planning committees. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Communicates with students, faculty, and staff (including Office of Financial Aid, as appropriate) regarding a variety of Registrar's Office transactions, both ones entered here and ones sent to USC Columbia for final processing. These include grade changes, make up of Incomplete grades, challenge exams, and numerous others. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Enters attendance at Academic Enrichment (ACE) program. Receives information from Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs to award ACE credit to students in on-line programs. Works to resolve issues related to ID cards which will not scan and students whose attendance is reported on paper attendance cards. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Learns basics of degree audit programming to assist when needed. Maintains familiarity with the academic calendar and understands the registration process. Instructs students on first-time use of Self-Service and other associated student systems. Works an assigned area at rehearsal and the actual ceremony twice a year for Commencement and related events. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Collects attendance, non-attendance and no shows each semester in the unofficial withdrawals process. Documents these no-shows for future study. Collects information on Title IV recipients who have failed classes; documents approximate last date of attendance based on faculty responses; and enters last date information in student information system. Works with Financial Aid each semester as this information is being reconciled. Other duties as assigned.
