As a Sr Planner Scheduler, you will ensure on-time deliveries for internal and external customers by coordinating production schedules, material flow, supplier communication, and logistics processes. This is a long-term contract opportunity (6 months with extension or direct-hire potential). Benefits Package Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Shift Information Monday-Friday 1st Shift 8-hour days Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree 0-3+ years of experience in materials planning and/or customer planning within a manufacturing environment Two (2) years of experience in the automotive industry Experience with an ERP system Preferred Education and Experience Technical understanding (e.g., blueprints) German language skills General Requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Good written and oral communication skills, including presentations Broad knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain planning Experience with demand forecasting and/or planning methods Demonstrated ability to multitask, plan, and solve problems Ability to travel domestically and internationally Understand and comply with IATF-16949 and
ISO 14000
requirements Support and comply with established Company Corporate Principles Effectively respond and communicate in a timely manner with internal and external customers Follow all company and customer policies, procedures, guidelines, and customer requirements as applicable Essential Functions Create, maintain, and improve information flow to ensure deliveries arrive at the right time, place, quantity, quality, and condition Create demand plans and/or production schedules for internal or external suppliers based on customer demand Perform assigned product launch activities in cooperation with internal and external suppliers and customers Execute assigned activities in accordance with lean production principles while striving for total cost optimization Develop, monitor, analyze, and improve KPIs for assigned logistics processes Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers Coordinate process improvement, evaluation, and documentation activities with other departments Analyze customer requirements, available inventory, and production capacities to develop production schedules and demand plans aligned with the official production program Communicate daily with customers and suppliers to ensure parts and goods availability while maintaining inventory within established levels Gather supplier performance information through regular communication and supplier audits conducted internally and externally Serve as the primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and the organization while maintaining professional business conduct Act as the main point of contact for issues involving assigned parts, goods, suppliers, and customers, including inventory discrepancies, data flow errors, and packaging shortages Analyze root causes of issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to support continuous improvement Define, communicate, agree upon, and report countermeasures when bottlenecks occur Provide current logistics status information throughout the logistics organization and broader organization as required Support and maintain stable production schedules Utilize SAP, EDI, and other systems to monitor inventory, manage material flow, and communicate demand requirements internally and externally Set parameters and maintain master data in SAP and other systems to ensure uninterrupted information flow Continuously improve delivery reliability through process and procedure stabilization Coordinate part and goods number changes with other departments to minimize obsolete and excess inventory Assist in developing logistics department procedures and work instructions Participate in departmental meetings to support planning, objective achievement, policy review, and performance evaluation Perform other duties related to the position as assigned Working Conditions Office environment Manufacturing floor environment Physical Demands Occasionally stand, sit, and use hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls Occasionally reach with hands and arms Occasionally ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Occasionally talk, hear, taste, or smell Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
