Job Description

Job Description Our client is a locally owned media company dedicated to informing, connecting, and inspiring the Greenville, SC community through a portfolio of well-known publications and digital platforms. They are looking to add a Sales & Operations Assistant to support their growing team and help drive internal efficiency, sales execution, and client engagement.

This role sits at the intersection of sales, operations, and customer experience. You will support reporting, proposal coordination, CRM management, and day-to-day sales operations while partnering closely with sales reps and internal teams.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze sales reporting to support business decisions Manage and maintain CRM system (including data updates and account management) Build and implement workflow automations and process improvements Upload and manage publication schedules within CRM Support subscription tracking and account organization Reclassify and reassign accounts based on business needs Partner with sales team on proposal creation and follow-ups Assist with prospecting efforts, contract preparation, and order entry Provide high-level customer service through timely communication and issue resolution Attend internal sales meetings and support client calls as needed Coordinate ad scheduling and assist with creative requests Ensure deadlines, approvals, and timelines are met across projects Support distribution logistics, including tracking drop locations and circulation effectiveness Gather and analyze data to improve distribution strategy Assist with large-scale ad drops, inserts, and campaign coordination Support office operations, including supply ordering and general admin needs Assist with event coordination and sponsored initiatives Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Strong experience with data analysis and reporting in a sales environment Background in project coordination or operations support with multiple deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across teams Self-starter who can work independently but asks for guidance when needed Experience handling confidential information Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace CRM experience required (experience with Newspaper Manager is a plus)
