Medical Front Office Coordinator/Surgery Scheduler Foothills Plastic Surgery Specific medical front office work experience-related familiarity in dealing with copays, coinsurance, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, checking patients in and out, and other skill sets is mandatory . Please note that "front office experience" that is •non-medical front office• does not count. Please only apply if you meet these qualifications. As a small medical office, we do not have the luxury of training someone with no experience in a medical front office setting. No short-term candidates, transient candidates, and/or those in schooling to pursue other professions can be considered. Private plastic surgery office seeks professional, polished, kind individual with a innate gift for people skills and communication, for the position of front office coordinator/receptionist & surgery scheduler, and other key responsibilities. On-the-job training, as needed. Candidate will have primary responsibilities; but also, be cross-trained and involved in most all aspects of office responsibilities. A naturally friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and •strong work ethic• are essential. This position is typically the first contact between the office and patients, by phone and/or in person. Therefore, a polished, professional, kind and people-friendly demeanor is essential. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Answering phones and directing call to appropriate staff member Making appointments Maintain a clean and organized front desk area Referring clinical matters to MD and medical assistant as needed Collecting payments & co-payments from patients and entering charges for procedures, office visit, surgeries in coordination with billing manager Verify insurance information Handle any emergency situations with composure and professionalism Scheduling surgeries with appropriate hospital staff Checking, answering office-related email (and coordinating with other office staff to address office business matters) Other key related responsibilities; some cross-training with other positions Eager willingness to step in as part of the office team to "get done" what is required to maximize smooth execution of excellent patient care
