Day Shift (United States of America) Position Highlights Consider joining an Award Winning Health Care System - Brookings Health System is a nationally awarded rural community health system, recognized for delivering high-quality care and personalized service. Brookings Health System is seeking a Central Scheduler to join our team! Compensation range for this position is $17.69 to $26.19, depending on experience. As a Central Scheduler, you'll be the first contact patients will have with the facility. This role involves frequent communication with others including nurses, physicians, patients, and families. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise poise and tact is essential. Duties include coordinating schedules with individual departments, informing patients of any preparation instructions, obtaining all necessary demographic and billing information, and obtain and validate insurance preauthorization's. This position will also communicate with the Collections Team regarding financial payment of services. Initiating the Brookings Health System experience in an accurate, professional, compassionate manner to support a successful patient experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to problem solve and utilize independent decision making LPN, RN, Associates Degree or other medical degree The ability to be bilingual in English/Spanish is beneficial
