Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook/Expeditor, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you will assist in food preparation, ensure timely delivery of dishes from kitchen to table, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your energy and communication skills will contribute to a lively, efficient kitchen environment that delights every guest who walks through our doors. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Expedite orders by coordinating between the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes to support smooth restaurant operations Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and sanitation practices Communicate effectively with team members to prioritize tasks and resolve any issues quickly Assist in food plating and garnishing to enhance visual appeal before dishes are served Experience Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation Experience in banquet settings or hotel food service is a plus Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Excellent communication skills to coordinate efficiently with team members and front-of-house staff Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of culinary practices, serving etiquette, and hospitality principles is advantageous
