Job Description:
About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Project Cost Controller/Scheduler to integrate the two functions for a growing oil & gas subsea construction company. The Project Controller/Scheduler will manage and control project schedules, budgets, and resources in support of the project management team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and control integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, and subsea construction activities Track project progress, analyze schedule and cost variances, and provide accurate performance reporting Support project managers with scenario analysis, risk assessments, and recovery planning Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams to ensure alignment of cost and schedule data Develop and implement project controls procedures, templates, and reporting standards Contribute to change management, including evaluation of schedule and cost impacts due to scope changes Required Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in project scheduling and controls software, such as: Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Power BI or similar reporting tools Strong understanding of: Project scheduling methodologies (CPM, critical path analysis) Proven experience as a Project Cost Controller, Project Scheduler, or Project Controls Engineer Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Understanding of project management best practices 7+ years of experience supporting oil & gas or subsea construction projects Strong ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate effectively with stakeholders High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills Familiarity with subsea construction workflows, interfaces, and risks Awareness of cost, schedule, and execution drivers in EPC or marine construction projects PMP or other project management certification
