Full Job Description Medical Scheduler Location:
Pearland, TX 77584 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team in Pearland, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing provider schedules, and ensuring efficient use of clinical resources to provide excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Coordinate with medical staff and patients to confirm appointment times and reschedule as necessary. Maintain and update patient records and appointment logs. Communicate appointment details and any necessary preparation instructions to patients. Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to scheduling and patient services. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize scheduling workflows. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding patient information confidentiality. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support clinic operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
