Full Job Description Medical Scheduler Location:
Bellaire, TX 77072 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team in Bellaire, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing schedules for healthcare providers, and ensuring efficient patient flow within the facility. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to manage daily schedules. Confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or text reminders. Maintain patient records and update scheduling information as needed. Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and follow-up appointments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding patient information. Assist with administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and office operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. Familiarity with EHR systems and scheduling software. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Work Environment This position is based in our Bellaire, TX office and involves working in a fast-paced medical environment.
