Job Description

Kintec is partnering with a well-established, Houston-owned and operated downstream oil and gas company to find an experienced Scheduler to join their operations team in North Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a critical role in optimizing refinery and supply chain operations in one of the nation's most active energy hubs. Position Summary As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed schedules to ensure efficient execution of refinery operations, maintenance activities, and product movements. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, logistics, and supply chain teams to keep projects and daily activities on track in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, update, and manage integrated schedules for operational activities, turnarounds, maintenance, and capital projects Coordinate with stakeholders to establish realistic timelines and resource requirements Monitor schedule progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions Track key milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities Generate daily, weekly, and monthly schedule reports and performance metrics Facilitate scheduling meetings and communicate status updates to leadership Maintain accurate records in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar) Support inventory and product movement planning Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Logistics experience is a strong plus. Candidates with background in supply chain logistics, product distribution, transportation scheduling, or marine/rail/truck movements will have a distinct advantage. Qualifications 3+ years of scheduling experience, preferably in the downstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or energy industry Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar Strong understanding of refinery operations and downstream processes is highly preferred Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities Logistics, supply chain, or terminal operations experience is a significant plus What We Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Stable, long-term opportunity with a respected Houston-based downstream operator Professional development and growth potential Convenient North Houston office location
