Solar Scheduling Coordinator In-Office | Utah (Supporting Florida & California Operations)
Department:
Operations About Kin Home Kin Home is a fast-growing solar company focused on speed, execution, and clean installs. Our operations team is built to eliminate delays, streamline processes, and ensure installs and service work are completed efficiently and correctly the first time. Role Overview We are seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to drive installs by coordinating service work, utilities, AHJs, and third-party vendors. This role is responsible for protecting the sale-to-install timeline by ensuring nothing blocks install readiness. You will partner closely with Project Coordinators and field teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and execute clean, one-touch installs that pass inspection and funding the first time . Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule solar installs, service work, and electrical scope Ensure all jobs are fully install-ready with no blockers prior to scheduling Build strong relationships with third-party vendors, field operations managers, utilities, and AHJs Coordinate utility timelines, including temporary disconnects and reconnects Schedule and align inspections related to temporary disconnects/reconnects (not final inspections) Manage adder work (tree removals, re-roofs, trenching, electrical, etc.) to eliminate install blockers Partner closely with Project Coordinators to ensure alignment on scope, readiness, and timelines Communicate directly with customers, providing clarity on: System design (high-level overview) Install day expectations Scope of work and any adders Identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact install timelines Coordinate post-install follow-ups to ensure all funding requirements are completed Maintain accurate scheduling and project data across systems Core KPIs Sale-to-install timeline First-time inspection pass rate (temp disconnect/reconnect scope) First-time funding rate (1-touch installs) Installs delayed due to preventable blockers Vendor and utility turnaround time Post-install funding completion time What Success Looks Like Installs occur on time with no preventable delays Jobs are completed as 1-touch installs with no rework or revisits Temporary disconnect/reconnect inspections pass the first time Strong coordination between Scheduling and Project Coordination eliminates friction Customers are informed, prepared, and confident going into install day Minimal reschedules, escalations, or funding delays Qualifications 2+ years in scheduling, dispatch, or operations coordination Experience in solar, construction, electrical, or home services preferred Understanding of install workflows, utility coordination, and AHJ processes Ability to confidently communicate with customers about install expectations and scope Experience managing field teams and third-party vendors Strong communication and relationship management skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving parts Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Nice to Have Experience with Florida and/or California markets Familiarity with utilities, AHJs, and vendor coordination Exposure to install funding and post-install processes Who This Role Is For Operators who take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks Strong communicators who can represent the company confidently to customers Individuals who anticipate and solve problems before they happen Candidates who move fast while maintaining accuracy
