Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Patient Scheduler who is passionate about serving others and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is the heartbeat of our daily patient flow — you will be the first point of contact for many patients and play a critical role in ensuring every visit runs smoothly. The ideal candidate works well both independently and under pressure, communicates with warmth and professionalism, and is committed to providing exceptional service to every patient who walks through our doors or calls our clinic. Key Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and referrals efficiently and accurately using our EHR system. Manage and coordinate provider calendars to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times. Confirm patient appointments and communicate necessary pre-visit instructions. Verify insurance eligibility before appointments are made. Serve as a liaison between patients and the billing department. Answer phones and assist patients at the window with questions, appointment needs, or item pickup. Maintain and update scheduling protocols for all providers Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and effective communication. Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager or providers. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus. Minimum 2 years of medical office, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred. Proficiency in scheduling software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance eligibility processes. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be a collaborative team player who works well both independently and under pressure. Must model in attitude, speech, and actions a commitment to Christ-centered, compassionate patient care.
