Job Description

Operations Administrator Job Description The Production Facility Operations Administrator supports the daily operations of a manufacturing or production facility by coordinating administrative processes, maintaining production records, assisting with scheduling and inventory tracking, and ensuring communication between departments. This role helps keep plant operations organized, efficient, and compliant with company policies and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to plant management and production teams. Maintain production schedules, reports, logs, and operational records. Track inventory levels, raw materials, and supply orders. Coordinate communication between production, maintenance, shipping, and office staff. Prepare reports related to production output, downtime, quality, and labor hours. Support compliance with OSHA, safety, environmental, and company regulations. Organize meetings, maintain documentation, and assist with audits or inspections. Monitor office and facility supply needs for production operations. Assist leadership with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of administrative experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or production environments preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP or production management software is a plus. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. Preferred Skills Knowledge of manufacturing workflows and production terminology. Familiarity with inventory control and purchasing processes. Experience preparing operational or KPI reports. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently. Work Environment Combination of office and production floor environment. May require occasional walking through warehouse or manufacturing areas. Standard business hours with occasional overtime based on production needs.
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
