Non-Exempt About the Employer Founded in November of 2020, Pain Physicians of Wisconsin is a group of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and a great group of support staff serving the southeast region of Wisconsin. The goal of our pain treatment team is to help our patients live their healthiest lives possible by easing pain symptoms and restoring function and movement. Position Summary Patient Scheduler will be responsible for checking-in and checking-out patients and understanding patient's needs to successfully organize and schedule procedures accordingly and promptly. This candidate will have responsibilities and duties that include scheduling procedures via phone, informing and educating patients regarding procedures, communicating with necessary providers regarding patients' status, data entry, as well other duties that will include prior authorization. Register new patients. Verify insurance and patient demographic information. Schedule appointments following the PPW Scheduling Guidelines. Answer a multi-line phone and transfer appropriately. Demonstrate general knowledge of ASC and clinic procedures and answers general questions related to them. Apply appropriate customer service skills and proactive communication when dealing with patients. Speak clearly and in a mature, professional manner. Demonstrate patience, compassion, kindness, and empathy. Understand Insurances and submit procedures for authorization. Able to multitask. All other job duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong data entry skills Time management skills HIPAA Compliance Understanding of company Policy and Procedures Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
