JOB SUMMARY
The Assembly Coordinator plays a key role in bringing Nueske's products to life by leading daily operations within the assembly area. This position ensures our gift builds are completed safely, efficiently, and with the high level of quality our brand is known for. As a hands-on leader, the Assembly Coordinator supports team development, drives operational excellence, and fosters a culture rooted in craftsmanship, accountability, and teamwork. During peak season this role will be expected to work some weekends. This position reports to the Mail Order Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and support assembly team members to achieve performance, quality, and productivity goals Facilitate daily communication, including team huddles and ongoing feedback, to ensure clarity and consistency Support training and onboarding efforts while mentoring team members to grow their skills Assist with time and attendance processes and reinforce company policies with professionalism and confidentiality Operations & Workflow Coordination Coordinate and prioritize daily assembly activities to meet production schedules and customer expectations Drive efficiency and accuracy across workflows, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish Collaborate across fulfillment areas and provide support (pick/pack/ship) based on business needs, including seasonal demands such as December label processes Quality & Continuous Improvement Champion Nueske's commitment to quality by ensuring adherence to product standards, procedures, and specifications Oversee verification of paperwork, lot codes, and product details to maintain accuracy and traceability Conduct routine inspections and quality checks, addressing issues and supporting corrective actions when needed Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance workflow, and elevate overall team performance Safety & Compliance Promote a safe work environment by reinforcing established safety practices and expectations Monitor daily activities to ensure safe work behaviors and proactively address hazards or concerns Participate in company-wide safety initiatives and contribute to a culture of accountability and care Systems & Technology Utilize MACH and other digital tools to support team productivity and operational tracking Troubleshoot minor system issues and escalate as needed for resolution Recommend technology or process enhancements that improve efficiency and team effectivenessMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience in assembly, warehouse, or fulfillment environments Experience training and developing team members Basic understanding of workplace safety practices Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds continuouslyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with Nueske's products, processes, and assembly workflows Proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, and basic computer applications Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsNUESKE'S CULTURE ELEMENTS
