Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine shipment (inbound or outbound) contents and compare with shipping or receiving paperwork. Conduct Load Verification Build Transports for customer loads in Invex and send releases to customers. Direct traffic flow for inbound and outbound trucks. Ensure truck drivers follow all safety protocols. Contact customers for pick up (Will Calls) Arrange delivery using our truck or alternative carrier. Communicate with sales, customers, truck drivers, and supervisors to rectify problems such as damage, shortages, late delivery, or nonconformances to specifications. Clean and maintain housekeeping of shipping office. Receive coils accurately into the system, including chemistry and Mill Test Reports. Maintain and keep records of shipping and receiving documents. Add inbound freight to receipts. Release railcars when required. Direct truck loaders and unloaders. Direct our truck driver with deliveries and pick-ups. Assist in covering shipping or receiving when other shipping or receiving associate is out of office. Wage Range:
$20.00 - $ 22.00 / Hour Here's what is needed to be successful:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Invex coding for receiving attributes. Knowledge of raw materials and shipping/receiving process. Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements. Knowledge of basic arithmetic - including conversion from metric, MPA conversion, and hardness conversion. Ability to read and understand inbound packing lists, mill test reports, and grade of material. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to use Microsoft outlook and communicate effectively via email. Basic reading and writing skills with ability to understand and comply with instructions from sales, operations, and customers.
