Shipping Clerk We are hiring immediately for a Shipping Clerk that is responsible for processing all shipping and receiving transactions through data entry into Maverick and Gerdau databases, as applicable. If your background includes shipping and receiving transactions or related experience and excellent customer service skills, please apply! Responsibilities Load/Unload steel bar material by operating a 58,000 lbs. forklift and overhead crane. Comprehend written instructions to select proper material per customer requirements. Must be able to wear personal protective gear 8 to 12 hours per day and follow all safety policies. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry 50/80 pounds. Must be able climb up and down 12 steps repeatedly during shift. Must be capable of working in inclement weather. Operates yard truck, pneumatic tools, and hand tools to assist with shipping and receiving steel. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Prefer Highschool or

GED PLUS

additional education in a specialized field (vocational trade school, two year college, etc.) plus 0 - 6 months related experience and/or training and No previous management experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Warehouse environment where continuously exposed to several elements such as, noise, intermittent standing, walking; and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting. Also may have exposure at times to the outside weather elements.
