JOB TITLE
RECEIVING & INVENTORY
CLERK JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Compute, classify, and record numerical data for receiving records of inventory. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain accurate inventory information of incoming merchandise or material. In this job the inventory clerk will be responsible to check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and count incoming items, and record data manually or using computer, verifying with fork lift driver's paperwork Operate calculator, printer/scanner, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents for receiving files, purchasing records, and sending COA copies to QC Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of ingredients, and investigate discrepancies; using these counts to adjust by issuing to shop orders weekly Label incoming items for storage and allergens, as required Determine proper storage methods, identification, and bin location based environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Review supply driver pull sheets for accuracy of issues and FIFO on bulk ingredients not in a tank. Perform weekly counts of all inventory used for production and using FLOP pull sheets, issuing all packaging and ingredients for shop orders. Use handheld scanner and/or Macola/Agility to make inventory moves.

None Education Level and Focus:
Proof of high school diploma or equivalent; Willingness to continue education through approved courses or classes that will enhance personal and professional growth.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Interpersonal and Communication:
Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time. Communicating with others in a professional manner.
Technical and Analytical:
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of mathematical applications and weights / measure.
Physical or Mental Demands:
Job requires some lifting, ability to develop follow set procedures for receiving materials, ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment, and strong attention to detail. Must be certified to drive a forklift.
Work Environment:
Administrative, warehouse cold & wet, icy floors, forklift and pedestrian traffic. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Special Equipment Used:
Using computers and computer systems (software) to set up functions, enter data, track or process information.
