Job Description

We are seeking a Driver/Shipping & Receiving Clerk!
Duties and responsibilities include:
Pick-up and delivery to customers and suppliers (typically within a 30 mile radius from GMI) Package parts for shipping Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers Determines method of shipment as required Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages Routes items to departments Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies Utilize ERP to process receipts Cross train & assist other departments as needed
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record Ability to read, write and communicate in English Ability to operate a forklift Ability to use a hand truck, dolly etc. Use basic hand tools such as utility knife, screwdriver etc. Able to lift 50+ pounds Benefits include: PTO & Holiday pay Matching 401(k) Employer-paid life policy HMO/PPO medical, dental, vision & voluntary This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
