designs and manufactures distinctive store fixtures and millwork of exceptional quality. Our in-house design team works with customers, and their architect/engineering firms, to create distinctive store fixtures and millwork with high functionality and longevity that helps promote product and brand image within their environment.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Shipping Associate will be responsible for preparing all outgoing shipments, including palletizing/crating fixtures. They will operate a forklift and pallet jack. Additionally, they may direct temporary employees in the Shipping Dept. (during busy season) and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES
Pull and inspect inventory, verify orders, prepare, wrap, and palletize freight and parcels for shipping. Load and unload trucks, using a pallet jack and/or forklift. Maintain a safe work environment and compliance with company safety policies. Be able to work at a manufacturing production pace/schedule. Alert Shipping Manager of any issues or delays with meeting shipping deadlines. Submit completed shipping paperwork daily to the Shipping Manager. End of day cleanup of shipping area. Communicate well with vendors and co-workers and operate with a sense of teamwork. Perform other job-related duties or other assigned tasks and projects as directed by Shipping Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ensure shipping schedule is achieved Ability to secure fixtures to pallets using straps, protection (foam, cardboard, stretch wrap) Ability to correctly attach packing slips and BOL's to outgoing shipments Ability to read and interpret a tape measure to 1/16" increments Ability to read fixture drawings Basic computer skills are desirable Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate effectively with other team members Must be detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, consistently producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks demonstrating good time management. Recognizes the importance of customer satisfaction through maintaining company quality standards. Wear and use designated safety gear as required
EDUCATION
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years' experience in shipping palleted/crated freight, preferably in a woodworking industry. Forklift, Pallet Jack, or other similar equipment experience highly preferred. Experience with packaging other non-confirming products (e.g.: not uniform boxes) is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, reach, and work in a warehouse environment with hot and cold temperatures. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must lift and/or move up to 4' x 8' sheets of plywood materials.

The employee is frequently required to sit and stand. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

  • Friday 8 hour shift (7am
  • 3:30pm), or as directed by supervisor.
Schedule may include overtime and/or weekend work to complete shipments as dictated by business needs.
