Job Title:

Shipping Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Specialist to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all shipping and packing operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining smooth operations and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Perform packing duties according to written policies and procedures. Verify materials picked for sales orders match the packing slip. Review and follow all packing instructions thoroughly. Securely package materials in designated cartons as per department procedures. Ensure all hazardous materials are packaged according to policies and procedures. Carry out shipping tasks in adherence to written policies and procedures. Process shipments through ERP and shipping systems. Verify and apply accurate shipping labels to cartons. Apply all necessary regulatory package labeling. Stage orders for collection based on department procedures. Perform end-of-day processes for workstations. Create itemized packing slips and dangerous goods paperwork for applicable shipments. Cross-train to support Finished Goods Clerk II operations. Troubleshoot and resolve shipment process errors. Respond to customer support requests promptly and professionally. Ensure quality and accuracy in all work performed. Report discrepancies to appropriate supervision. Perform cycle counts independently. Maintain a safe and clean work area. Participate in Lean initiatives and lead department Gemba walks. Monitor and reorder all shipping supplies and manage department equipment. Manage time wisely and maintain good attendance in accordance with company guidelines. Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills 1 year of shipping and receiving experience. Experience with FedEx, UPS, or DHL shipping systems. Basic MS Office skills. Ability to work in a high-volume environment. Detail-oriented with strong communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Dependable and excellent customer service skills. Desire to exceed expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Training software). Enhanced math and analytical skills utilizing Excel.

Schedule:

8am - 4:30pm. Overtime is mandatory during high-demand periods to ensure operations are on track. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
