Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient movement of goods, ensuring that shipments are properly received, stored, and dispatched. Your proactive approach will help maintain seamless warehouse operations, support order fulfillment, and uphold high standards of safety and accuracy. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and recording details using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS). Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders with precision to meet delivery deadlines. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently. Manage stock levels through accurate inventory control, stock replenishment, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS). Ensure proper packaging of products for safe transportation while adhering to company standards and customer specifications. Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to maintain inventory accuracy in accordance with warehouse distribution protocols. Collaborate with team members on order picking & packing processes Ship UPS parcel daily Requirements Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures. Valid forklift certification; experience operating reach trucks and pallet jacks is highly preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or similar platforms. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing. Experience with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, order picking, and loading/unloading trucks. Knowledge of packaging standards for various product types to ensure safe delivery. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
