Receiving and Shipping Associate Atwork Personnel Services - 3.7 Gardena, CA Job Details Full-time $19 - $21 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Shipping coordination Packing Forklift High school diploma or GED Shipping & receiving Warehouse experience Full Job Description Overview Our client in Gardena, CA is seeking a temporary Shipping and Receiving Specialist. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing outbound shipments. Your proactive approach will help deliver exceptional service to the customers and support efficient warehouse operations. This is a fast-paced environment. Hours are 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities :
Verify shipment contents against shipping documents and update warehouse management system (WMS) records promptly Prepare outgoing orders by packing, and staging products with RF scanners and order pickers to ensure accuracy and timeliness Manage stock levels through proper stocking techniques, inventory counts, and cycle counts to support warehouse distribution goals Utilize basic math skills to calculate weights, quantities, and measurements for order fulfillment and packaging needs Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular inspections of storage areas Collaborate with team members to optimize picking & packing processes for e-commerce orders and bulk distribution Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and stock management Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners Familiarity with warehouse management systems. ERP systems like MRPs for inventory control Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills to coordinate with team members Physical ability to lift heavy items safely and operate warehouse equipment throughout shifts

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
