Position Overview:

An ideal Shipping & Fulfillment Associate is passionate about working on a small team and values the direct impact they have with our customers. The candidate takes pride in the care and accuracy that are crucial to providing a seamless experience for customers during the most tender stages of their lives. From assembling shipping boxes and pulling inventory from freezer and dry storage to processing orders in Shopify, the Shipping & Fulfillment Associate is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders and preparing them for handoff to our local and national delivery partners. We are looking for someone organized, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and adapt to evolving needs of our healing food business. This is a part-time on-site role reporting directly to the COO/Executive Chef, and working closely with our Kitchen and Customer Service teams. The Shipping & Fulfillment Associate will: Own all stages of the shipping & fulfillment process, including digital and physical steps Utilize Shopify tools including creating shipping labels, packing slips, and pick-lists Accurately pick inventory from the freezers & dry storage, and pack customer orders for local and national delivery. Work in a walk-in freezer (occasionally for extended periods), while picking and inventorying frozen products. Hat & gloves will be provided, and associates are asked to provide their own jackets. Coordinate with and ensure accurate handoff of orders to delivery drivers and carriers. Manage fulfillment inventory Track inventory and place weekly orders for labels, packaging, fulfillment and shipping materials. Maintain a stock of pre-labeled soup/stew/snack pouches and label additional units as needed. Ensure shipping materials are well-stocked and organized at all times. Maintain stock of ice packs and insulated shipping liners, follow pars, and assist COO with ordering and receiving. Manage product inventory Perform weekly inventory of all dry storage & reach-in freezer products (i.e. breakfasts, snacks, drinks & entrees), and record on-hand inventory accurately. Perform bi-weekly inventory of all walk-in freezer products (i.e. soups, stews, tonics & smoothies), and record on-hand inventory accurately. Assist with Kitchen Tasks Bake off frozen cookies daily according to pick list needs. Occasionally assist the kitchen team with miscellaneous tasks such as bagging, biscuits, rolling/packing date bites or boxing muffins and frittatas. Perform other duties as assigned.

Handy with packing materials and office supplies like constructing shipping boxes, cutting kraft paper and applying packing tape. Interested in providing excellent service to our customers by securely packing nourishing food going to new parents, those on a healing journey and beyond! Observant and adaptable to the needs of each order.
Basic Requirements:
Availability to work in person 20 hrs/week: Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tuesdays & Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Ability to lift and carry 50lb while utilizing safe lifting techniques, and to stand for up to 6 hours at a time. Familiar with safe operation of moving equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and carts. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfort working in a shared kitchen environment including working inside of a walk-in refrigerator and freezer. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. Proficient with digital tablets, laptop computers, & printers. Experience with the e-commerce interface Shopify preferred. Working cell phone for coordinating with drivers etc.
