The Patient Experience is paramount at MDR Encino Pharmacy, and our team of Pharmacy Clerks and Order Packers take a great deal of pride in getting the patients we serve their prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner. What You Will Do Maintain a well-organized and clean environment, including stocking shelves and neatly organizing display cases. Perform regular inventory checks and keep track of shipping supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels and order efficiency. Communicate with shipping vendors regarding any price changes or delays. Contact patients to inform them of shipping delays and when their medications are ready for pick-up. Operate register including collecting/verifying payment and passing along insurance information for pharmacy orders. Understand and execute product flow and order fulfillment processes. Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders and give orders to patients promptly and efficiently. Pack products securely according to pack lists and procedures to avoid damage during transport, and affix adhesive-based shipping list envelopes to labeled boxes. Generate required details for proper shipment processing and follow company procedures. Greet patients warmly at the Pharmacy desk and provide prompt assistance. Answer phone calls and provide accurate information to patients. Always represent the pharmacy professionally and courteously. Participate in surveys, performance improvement programs, and pharmacy committees. Stay updated on product knowledge and participate in in-service education programs. Report any misconduct, suspicious activities, or unethical behavior to the shipping manager. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements No prior pharmacy experience is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills. Customer service skills are a plus. Ability to stand, bend, pull, and lift during the duration of shifts. Capability to frequently lift boxes and packages sometimes weighing up to 40 lbs. Familiarity with pallet jacks and other equipment is a plus.
