Job Description

Receiving Clerk Van Nuys, CA 3 month contract Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pm $22hr to start A quick response electronic manufacturing services utilizing world-class manufacturing equipment, practices, and technology. Building end products ranging from fiber optic transmitters and transceivers to missile guidance and satellite systems is seeking a Receiving Clerk to join their team in Van Nuys.
Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials to support efficient production flow. The role ensures inventory accuracy, verifies order integrity, and handles components with care while maintaining compliance with quality systems. The clerk contributes to overall operational efficiency through strong organization, collaboration, and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities:
Maintain precise and timely inventory counts when receiving materials into Epicor. Conduct initial visual inspections of incoming packaging for damage and promptly notify the Supervisor. Verify packing lists against corresponding purchase orders to ensure complete and accurate alignment. Update product inventory and process backlog orders to support continuous production flow. Manage daily priorities effectively and consistently deliver results in accordance with established commitments. Collaborate with team members to identify, recommend, and implement improvements. Adhere rigorously to the Quality System, documented procedures, and work instructions. Handle high-reliability components with care to ensure no damage or compromise to product integrity. Organize and manage documentation for received goods to ensure accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.
Qualifications:
Fundamental English reading and writing skills to support clear and professional communication. Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate between multiple software applications. Experience using Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently while sharing lessons learned. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and adhere to established processes. Self-motivated individual with strong learning agility, a proactive mindset, and a desire to contribute. Strong work habits, including punctuality, reliability, and consistent attendance Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and overtime as required to meet production and operational needs. Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident. Knowledge of Epicor system. Associate degree in industry related field.
