This role is responsible for managing the accurate flow of materials and equipment into and out of the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy, shipment documentation, and government property records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, inventory control experience, and the ability to work effectively across receiving, shipping, warehouse, and compliance functions. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation. Unload deliveries, inspect materials for damage, and report discrepancies as required. Sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse or stockroom locations. Update material tracking records, including receipt status, pricing, supplier information, and inventory transactions. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging materials, generating shipping labels, and completing required shipping documentation. Weigh and measure packages to determine shipping requirements and carrier specifications. Coordinate shipment scheduling, loading, and transportation activities. Track shipment status and assist in resolving shipping discrepancies or delivery issues. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, material tracking, and inventory reconciliation activities. Support government property management requirements by maintaining accurate asset records and conducting periodic equipment verification audits. Participate in monthly government property walkthroughs to confirm equipment locations and inventory accuracy. Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory control, and material flow. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory records. Strong mathematical aptitude with the ability to accurately calculate quantities, balances, and inventory transactions. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Forklift Certification preferred. HAZMAT Certification preferred. OSHA Safety Training preferred. Experience supporting government property management or asset tracking programs is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move materials throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift and move materials and packages as required. Ability to operate warehouse equipment and computer systems. Ability to accurately review reports, inventory records, labels, and shipping documentation. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
