Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving / Operations Assistant to join our fast-paced warehouse team. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers while supporting the overall productivity of our machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips Enter receiving data into internal systems accurately and in a timely manner Create shipping labels and documentation using customer portals (e.g., supplier portals such as Exostar, Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky, Boeing etc. ) Package outgoing parts to ensure safe and compliant delivery Coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time shipments Monitor and maintain shipping supplies inventory (boxes, labels, packaging materials, etc.) Assist with general shop organization and logistics support as needed Support stock replenishment activities by updating inventory records and conducting cycle counts to ensure accuracy Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities during packing, inventory adjustments, and order processing

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25-40 lbs Standing, walking, and moving throughout the shop as needed Experience Previous warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving operations in the aerospace industry is highly preferred Knowledge of warehouse management systems software is beneficial Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, email, data entry) Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for inventory counting and order calculations are essential
