Material Handler/ Shipping & Receiving clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler/Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Accurately receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries against purchase orders using warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders in accordance with customer specifications and shipping guidelines. Maintain organized stock levels through effective stocking, order picking, and inventory management using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety standards. Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as load & unload operations and staging materials for shipment or storage. Conduct regular stock counts and update inventory records to support accurate order fulfillment and warehouse efficiency. Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Proven ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400, or similar inventory software is highly desirable. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Knowledge of warehouse distribution practices including order picking & packing, stock replenishment, and load & unload procedures. Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills to ensure safety and accuracy in all tasks. Previous experience supporting e-commerce operations or working within a fast-paced logistics setting is a plus.
