We are looking for a full-time Receiving Associate to join our team. In this role, you will support the accurate and timely receipt of incoming materials by verifying deliveries, entering receipt information, researching variances, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient receiving operations across lumber, hardware, and window and door materials. This position is a full-time role located onsite and is not a remote or hybrid position.
Responsibilities / Job
Description Safely offload inbound materials from vendor trucks using proper material handling procedures Maintain a clear and organized dock during offload Thoroughly inspect material during offload for visible issues Verify incoming shipments by reviewing packing slips, purchase orders, and related receiving documents. Verify inbound material using vendor paperwork and GSL purchase orders Clearly document missing, damaged or incorrect material and communicate leadership Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving dock, and storage area Receive material in an organized and timely manner. Partner with team and leadership to identify and resolve receiving issues. Support process improvement efforts related to receiving, inventory accuracy, and material flow. Assist with the handling of returned material as needed. Perform additional duties and assignments as needed to support operations and business needs. Required Qualifications / Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years of experience in receiving, inventory management, or a related field. Team-oriented approach and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and move materials up to 100 feet with equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a lumber yard, warehouse, building materials environment, or window and door distribution setting. Experience investigating and resolving receiving discrepancies, supplier returns, or invoice variances. Familiarity with purchase orders, bills of landing, and other receiving documentation. Experience supporting inventory accuracy and process improvement efforts. What makes our Company a great place to work?
