Job Description

Canyon Graphics, a San Diego based manufacturer in the printing and injection molding industry has a first shift shipping/receiving clerk (8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday) position available. Shipping & Receiving ClerkPosition Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting logistics operations, and ensuring compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). This role requires strong multitasking abilities, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining efficient warehouse and shipping processes. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming materials and products. Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments accurately and on schedule. Coordinate shipments with carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments. Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and physical inventories. Ensure all shipping and receiving activities comply with company SOPs, WIs, and quality standards. Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified). Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory issues. Monitor shipping schedules and logistics activities to ensure on-time deliveries. Assist in developing and improving shipping, receiving, and warehouse procedures. Support production and warehouse teams by prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Provide leadership and guidance to team members when required and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred. Strong understanding of inventory control and logistics processes. Experience following and enforcing SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs). Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively. Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive work ethic. Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.
