Job Description
Shipping/Receiving Associates are responsible for safely and efficiently loading/unloading materials to/from our warehouse and various vendors, as well as maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, and all common use areas. Responsibilities Verifies incoming shipments against packing slips and order forms Assist with loading materials i.e., prefabricated materials, tools, safety supplies, and stored materials from vendors onto vehicles for transit Efficiently and safely unload vendor materials from trucks as they arrive at the shop Organize and mark incoming materials for storage Maintain shipping and receiving documentation, including receiving logs and packing slips Data entry of shipping and receiving information into company log using SmartSheet Maintain yard for cleanliness and safety standards e.g. sweeping, dumping garbage, and organizing materials/tools Suggest and support process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and safety Work overtime/weekends if needed Qualifications Good verbal and customer service skills Good organization skills Entry level experience with high pressure situations and/or tight deadlines Entry level data entry experience Entry level knowledge of safety standards Unexpired, state-issued driver's license Experience in warehousing, inventory management, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or heavy machinery operation preferred Experience operating a forklift (preferred) Experience with Excel and/or Smartsheet preferred Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty [50] pounds While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, work in various weather conditions (rain or shine).
