Valencia, CA Job Details Temp-to-hire | Full-time $18 - $20 an hour Qualifications Packing Basic math Warehouse management system Forklift Barcode scanners Packaging Warehouse experience Distribution center Full Job Description ob Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This role requires proficiency in warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Receiving Clerk plays a vital part in ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and smooth warehouse operations, supporting both e-commerce and traditional distribution channels. Responsibilities Receive and unload incoming shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols. Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders or packing lists. Record receipt of items into the warehouse management system (WMS) or AS400 platform accurately. Use RF scanners and other technology to track inventory movements and update stock levels. Stock received items in designated storage locations, ensuring proper organization for easy retrieval. Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping processes as needed to support order fulfillment. Maintain accurate records of received goods, including quantities and condition reports. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely processing of shipments and inventory accuracy. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and load/unload trucks safely and efficiently. Support warehouse distribution activities by preparing items for outgoing shipments. Experience Previous experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRPs is advantageous. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers is highly desirable. Knowledge of e-commerce logistics, packaging procedures, and order fulfillment processes is a plus. Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements are required. Prior experience with RF scanners, load & unload operations, and stock management will be beneficial. Warehouse experience involving order picking & packing, stocking, and inventory control is preferred.
