$20.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience The Opportunity At Industrial Constructors/Managers (ICM), we support the backbone of industry with over 40 years of experience as an award-winning General Contractor. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our shop operations by ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently. Your work directly supports fabrication, project schedules, and jobsite success. What You'll Do Shipping & Receiving Operations Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items. Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation. Coordinate freight pickups and deliveries with carriers and internal teams. Inventory & Materials Handling Accurately enter received and shipped materials into inventory or ERP systems. Maintain organized storage areas for materials, tools, and equipment. Issue materials, parts, and supplies to shop personnel as needed. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Documentation & Coordination Maintain shipping and receiving records (packing slips, bills of lading, delivery confirmations). Communicate material status and shortages with purchasing, project teams, and supervisors. Help expedite critical materials to support production and job schedules. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all safety policies and proper material-handling procedures. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead cranes as required (certification preferred). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
What You'll Bring Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Prior shipping & receiving, warehouse, or materials-handling experience required. Experience in an industrial construction, fabrication, or manufacturing environment preferred.
Technical & Equipment Skills:
Basic computer skills (inventory systems, email, spreadsheets). Forklift and/or crane experience preferred (or willingness to obtain certification).
Skills & Attributes:
Strong attention to detail and organization. Dependable, safety-focused work ethic. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial shop environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
