Job Description
Randstad seeking dependable and detail-oriented Forklift Operators with Shipping/Receiving experience to join multiple warehouse teams across New Haven, CT county. In this dual role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move materials, as well as managing the administrative and physical flow of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a safe work environment, and helps keep our supply chain moving efficiently.

No Degree RequiredResponsibilities Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to load, unload, stack, and stage materials. Retrieve materials from inventory to feed production lines or stage for outbound shipping. Inspect, verify piece counts against BOL/packing slips, and log items into the WMS Pack, palletize, wrap, and label outbound shipments according to customer specifications and carrier requirements. Prepare shipping documents, including BOLs, packing lists, and international customs paperwork if applicable. Participate in routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy. Keep aisles, loading docks, and staging areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts) in a warehouse or distribution setting. Basic tech skills to use inventory software (WMS), ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle), and shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS WorldShip). Attention to detail when checking packing slips, invoices, and shipping labels.
