Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team in Essex, CT to support a small but growing local manufactuer. Process all shipping and receiving documentation and ensure the smooth flow of inbound and outbound material from our facility. Pack and prepare for shiiping parts and also place new material into inventory.
Key Responsibilities Documentation:
Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documents, such as logs, forms, and reports, primarily using MRP, Excel and Google sheets.
Shipping and Receiving Support:
Assist the shipping and receiving teams with verifying quantities and quality of materials.
Problem Solving:
Investigate and resolve shipping/receiving issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in an inventory, warehouse, or materials management role is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Word for general document preparation.
Skills:
Excellent organizational, mathematical, and time management skills.
