As part of the Helmut-Fischer GmbH group, Fischer Technology's diverse team of professionals works together to push the boundaries of measurement and meet the evolving needs of the manufacturing community. Job Summary Responsible for packing and preparing orders for shipment, maintaining accurate shipping records, and performing minor building maintenance tasks to support overall operations. Key Responsibilities Package finished orders following final quality control inspection, ensuring compliance with company standards. Determine the most cost-effective shipping methods (e.g., palletizing vs. individual packaging). Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and related records. Coordinate outbound freight to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Maintain shipping logs and organized records of all shipments. Utilize computer systems (e.g., SAP) to update inventory and process shipments using UPS and FedEx software. Contact carriers to obtain freight quotes and schedule shipments. Provide support and backup for receiving operations as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment; restock supplies as necessary. Perform minor building maintenance tasks, including groundskeeping and basic repairs. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. Skills & Abilities Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping systems preferred. Ability to operate a manual forklift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision. Effective multitasking and communication skills (both written and verbal). Valid driver's license required. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the
