POSITION SUMMARY
The main function of this position is to provide training to current associates and new hires as required. When not training, process merchandise through the Distribution and/or Central Fulfillment Center departments.
INTERACTION
Interaction with management and associates throughout the Distribution and/or Central Fulfillment Center departments and facilities. Interaction with DC Talent & Development Manager Some interaction with other individuals within the distribution center and company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to perform processor/case handler responsibilities at a competent level. Demonstrate an understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for their respective Production area. Coordinate and assist with all hands-on training for new hires. Encourage open communication providing constructive feedback in good spirit and display a coachable demeanor with new and current associates. Responsible for ensuring that all new hire training documentation is completed in a timely manner and returned to Human Resources Department for filing. Report and monitor progress of new hires and current associates to the appropriate leadership team on a consistent basis. Support and maintain confidentiality with regard to all business functions required; Confidential information consists of, but no limited to relevant or related conversations reading other associates, information regarding trainees and/or related parties, accounts, financial information, plans, drawings, programs, models, patents, proposed patents, ideas, techniques, copyrights, personal information, business information, statutory or compliance related forecasts. May be required to perform other processing functions or to move to other departments to work, based on business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc.) Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. (50 lbs. Shipping/Receiving) necessary to handle/move cartons of merchandise.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting. Must be in present position at Distribution and/or Central Fulfillment Center departments for more than 6 months; Understanding of organizational practices, culture, processes and systems Strong work ethic and true desire to provide an excellent learning environment for all associates. Must be in good standing with no Conduct issues or active Corrective Actions; Good attendance (fewer than 5 attendance occurrences over the past 12 months). Accurately complete simple math tasks such as counting and adding. Must be able to use assigned equipment and tools to complete job responsibilities. Intermediate leadership and management skills with ability to lead by example and foster mentoring relationships Time management and problem-solving skills Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change Motivation to work independently, show initiative, and think creatively Work schedule subject to change, must be flexible based on business need Bilingual preferred; English required
