Shipping Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will coordinate and execute shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Your expertise will help maintain seamless warehouse distribution, support order fulfillment, and uphold high standards of inventory management. Responsibilities Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately using RF scanners and order pickers. Load and unload trucks efficiently with pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory levels, update shipment statuses, and manage stock movements. Ensure proper packaging of items for safe delivery, including wrapping, boxing, and securing pallets for transport. Conduct shipping & receiving activities with precision, verifying orders against packing lists and purchase orders using basic math skills. Maintain organized stock levels through stocking procedures and regular inventory counts in accordance with warehouse distribution standards. Support order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by ensuring timely picking & packing of customer orders. Assist in the setup and operation of MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems) to optimize inventory flow and reduce delays. Collaborate with team members to load & unload shipments efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 is highly desirable. Valid forklift certification or reach truck license preferred; experience operating pallet jacks is essential. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and stock management techniques. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
