Full Job Description Position Description:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. The shipping Receiving Specialist performs the incoming inspection under quality department guide lines. This role also includes materials handling and inventories to provide a visible level of organization and tracking of material usage. Such activities as pertain to the ultimate goal of minimizing or eliminating outages. Materials fall into broad categories such as program specific raw material and shop consumables.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving 1. Determines method of shipment and arranges shipments. 2. Identifies most cost effective shipping methods with Management and Purchasing. 3. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measurements. 4. Unpack incoming shipments (as appropriate) and transfer the material to designated storage areas or department. 5. Deliver invoices and other documents arriving with shipments to responsible individual or work area. 6. Pack outgoing shipments. 7. Generate documents of items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. 8. Maintain adequate supplies to facilitate shipping operations. 9. Follow and document procedures such as MSP MC-001 and
MSP MC-002. 10.
Maintains shipping and receiving area. 11. Update and maintain on time delivery schedule. 12. Other such duties as may be driven by day-to-day requirements. Material Inventory 1. Maintain a running and up to date inventory of all raw materials and shop supplies. 2. Establish storage area. 3. Establish and maintain sign-out control. 4. Track material expiration dates and determine the usable time remaining. 5. Maintain material storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion to facilitate access for dispensing, replenishment, and inventory operations. 6. Other such duties as may be driven by day-to-day requirements.

Education and/or experience:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED and three to five years related experience and/or training. 2.
Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of computers including MS Office, Fed Ex, UPS, and other shipping on-line websites. 3.
Communication skills:
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. 4.
Organization:
Ability to be highly organized, detail oriented and able to respond to change quickly.
Physical demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Use hands, fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hand and arms; talk and hear. The associate must frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/and move up to 50 pounds.
