JOB DESCRIPTION
Receiving/ Logistics Clerk Hourly Rate:
$16 to $18 per hour based on experience and skills. Position Purpose and Objectives The Receiving Clerk / Logistics Clerk compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, revising, and shipping materials, supplies, and raw materials. The Receiving Clerk / Logistics Clerk performs the following duties. Essential Job Functions Handles the receipt of inventory freight trucks, finished goods, raw materials, labels, bottles, cartons, desiccants, caps, and other components Receipt of miscellaneous trucks and deliveries Compiles shipment paperwork, receiving log, pack slips, delivery receipts, and all documentation required Computer entry of receipts into our operating system Scheduling/quoting for all freight shipments
  • inbound, outbound, international, and tradeshows Coordination of shipment arrivals by appointment and shipment tracking Processing any shipment damage claims with the carriers Administrative duties include filing of the receipts Follows SOP procedures that pertain to Shipping/Receiving (SR) and warehouse functions Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Reasoning Abilitiy
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the SAP database software Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear The employee is frequently required to stand and walk The employee is occasionally required to sit The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Noise level is generally moderate Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) 6-12 months' related experience and/or training Forklift certification required Success Factors Analytical
