Job Description

Job Title:
Shipping Clerk Job Description:
The Shipping Clerk supports the shipping and receiving functions by preparing, packaging, and processing orders in accordance with company standards and customer requirements. This position ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while working collaboratively with multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
Follow documented processes and work instructions with attention to detail. Perform visual inspections of products to ensure conformance prior to packaging. Schedule shipments, plan logistics, and coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries. Prepare and process all required shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Package products securely to maintain quality and prevent damage during transport. Enter and maintain data in ERP systems, databases, and customer portals; scan and upload required documentation. Verify order accuracy prior to shipment. Receive and issue all incoming and outgoing stock movements in the ERP system. Organize, label, and catalog inventory; monitor and report shortages as necessary. Pull and verify materials and supplies to fulfill requests. Conduct cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories to maintain accuracy. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, production control, and procurement. Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow detailed work instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience with ERP systems, databases, and Microsoft Office (or similar tools). Ability to perform data entry with accuracy. Basic knowledge of shipping/receiving processes and logistics preferred. Ability to lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs, if applicable). HS Diploma or equivalent and experience working in a manufacturing shipping environment. Perform visual inspection with the unaided eye.
