WAREHOUSE RECEIVING CLERK
Stand-Up Forklift Major Areas of Accountability:
Receiving :
Receives product deliveries, ensures order and invoice accuracy. Turns all purchase orders (PO) into the Purchasing Department. Take pictures of all Stone/Pavers to create a purchase order. Pictures are then e-mailed to the appropriate departments pending approval.
Safe Workplace :
Maintain all equipment and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following IWT prescribed work methods and warehouse work rules. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with all OSHA and MSDS requirements.
Efficient Workplace :
Efficiently stack and store all products in the appropriate areas.
Quality :
Ensure all material received is accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances to the project managers.
Forklift Operations :
Use stand-up or reach truck forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. Responsible for completing a daily inspection of the forklift before use.
Restocking :
Move shipments into appropriate locations for stocking or back-stock, keeping pathways clear. Stocks and rotates merchandise as needed according to department procedure. Maintains back-stock areas according to department's standards.
Cycle Counts :
Daily activity and must investigate discrepancies. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action or suggest courses of action which may be taken to achieve a favorable resolution. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Essential Job Requirements:
Prior stand-up or reach truck forklift experience a must. Accounting/inventory/warehouse software and reporting preferred. Organizational skills a must. Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
Education:
High School diploma/
GED Experience:
Two recent years of stand-up or reach truck forklift driving experience required and two years of receiving experience desired. Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and radio frequency handheld devices desired.
Required Skills:
Works well with management, peers, and subordinates. Ability to always communicate and conduct themselves professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, stand and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 20lbs. Ideally be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
