Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description This entry-level Shipping and Receiving Clerk role focuses on preparing products for shipment according to precise customer specifications in a clean, air-conditioned warehouse. You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, typically between 7:30 or 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, as part of a fast-paced packaging team. Responsibilities Package products according to specific client requirements and exact specifications. Prepare orders for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and organizing items for dispatch. Maintain a high level of accuracy while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail and quality. Lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds as part of daily duties. Keep the work area clean, organized, and production-ready throughout the shift. Follow established warehouse procedures to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Coordinate with team members to meet daily shipping and packaging targets. Essential Skills Experience or familiarity with shipping and receiving processes. Ability to perform order picking and order selection tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure packaging meets exact client specifications. Reliability and strong work ethic, including consistent, on-time attendance for a full 40-hour workweek. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Comfort with repetitive and monotonous work while maintaining focus and accuracy. Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis. Comfortable working in a warehouse setting. Steel-toed boots, required for safety on the warehouse floor. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, picking, or order selection is beneficial but not required. Ability to stay organized and maintain a tidy work area. Willingness to learn and follow standardized packaging and shipping procedures. No prior equipment experience needed; forklifts and pallet jacks are not required for this role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockledge, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
